絶大な人気を誇るヴィジュアル系バンド ガゼット

現在、日本国内でＴＯＰクラスまた、欧米でも絶大な人気を誇るヴィジュアル系バンド。

ガゼット・・・のバンド名の由来は、「デモテープ （カセット） のような古き良き物を今に伝えるという意味をこめていると同時に、ガギグゲゴ調の名前にしたかった」とメンバーのルキは語っている。
しかし、ガゼット結成当初音源として「別れ道」などを発表するが思うように売り上げが伸びずツアーなどで全国を回るとなると自腹で費用を工面しなければならず移動のときは車の中で寝泊りし最悪なときは風呂にも入れない時期もあったという。
2004年には彼らにとって初のフルアルバムとなるDISORDERをリリース。
ツアーのファイナルである渋谷公会堂のワンマンライブを成功させたのを皮切りに、リリースするシングルを全てオリコンメジャーチャートTOP10にランクインさせているという実力を振るいだし現在に至っている。
インディーズで活動するヴィジュアル系バンドとしては異例の人気を持つが、本人達は「メジャーデビューには興味はない」と公言している。

ガゼットの弟分バンドが、アリス九號.（アリスナイン）である。
アリス九號.（アリスナイン）というバンド名の由来は、名付け親のVocal将によると日本発信のバンドであることを示すためにも、漢字を使い陰陽道で最大・最強を示す「九」という言葉、そして「號」という漢字の強さから、ハードさを。
また、「アリス」という言葉が持つポップでシニカルなイメージを、兼ね備えた柔軟性のあるアプローチが出来るようにと名付けらた。
アリス九號.（アリスナイン）の活動初期のバンドのコンセプトは「和洋折衷」であった為、衣装や楽曲にも和を取り入れていたが、DVDシングル「NUMBER SIX.」あたりからはほぼ全面的に洋を意識したスタイルになり、少なからず変化を遂げた。
アリス九號.（アリスナイン）のメンバー全員とも10代前半にLUNA SEAやXJAPANに衝撃を受け、ヴィジュアル系に目覚めるきっかけになったと語っている。
バンドの兄貴的存在にガゼットの他に、kagrra,が、主に上げられる。
特にkagrra,とは一緒にツアーをまわったり、ミニアルバムの「祇園盛者の鐘が鳴る」「華想夢想紙」ではkagrra,の真(Gu)がスーパーバイザーとして楽曲を手掛けるなど、アリス九號.（アリスナイン）形成に多大な影響を与えている。

プラスティック トゥリー は、1997年シングル『割れた窓』でWARNER MUSIC JAPANのEntrancEレーベルよりメジャーデビュー。

当初は80年代UKロック・ポップスに影響を受けた楽曲や演奏スタイルであったが、2002年頃よりCOALTAR OF THE DEEPERSにサポートギターとして参加しているナカヤマアキラによる作曲が増え、またドラムがササブチヒロシになったことで、その楽曲の幅は大きく広がる。
ファンのことは海月（くらげ）と呼ばれ、コミュニティや掲示板、あるいはファン同士などで度々称されている。これは、有村竜太朗が自身を海月に例えたことに由来する。
また、最も好きなメンバーの名前を語頭につけ、そのメンバーのファンであることを示す際にも使用される。
例えば有村竜太朗のファンであることを示す場合は、『竜ちゃん海月』『太朗海月』などである。
昨年、２００７年冬の欧州ツアーでは、熱狂的なファンがつめ掛け大いに盛り上がった。
